Agreed Report of BoM meeting December 16th

The School Accountant James Hughes presented a Report on the Accounts for the Year ending August 31st, 2024 to the Board. These were agreed and signed.
The Board commended the principal for managing the tight budget in 2024, however it is clear that it will become an increased difficult task.
Monthly Finance Report was also agreed.
The Annual Review of the Child Safeguarding Statement was completed and signed.
Child Protection Oversight Report was presented and signed.
The Board ratified the Protected Disclosures Policy
The Board approved the request to the school for an additional Special Class for Autistic Students from the NCSE. The school will be funded to make the accommodation adjustments needed and the staffing for the class will be provided.
The Board approved a request for partnership with TUS in clinical placement for students on the BSc (Hons) in general nursing programme and the BSc(Hons) in mental health nursing programme in Mercy Ballymahon.
An update of the numbers enrolled to date for 1st Year September 2025 was provided.
The Board commended the school staff and students for the efforts and cooperation especially with the excellent Variety Show which was so successful and on the many sporting and extracurricular activities throughout the term along with the fundraising for good causes.
