TY news
Thank you to Tony O'Reilly, Gambling Addiction Counsellor at Extern Problem Gambling and co-author of Tony 10, who facilitated a gambling awareness programme with our TYs last week. Tony spoke openly and honestly about his own personal struggles with a gambling addiction as well as his road to recovery. Thank you to Mr Seery for organising. Also, well done to those TY students who completed their Level 1 Kayaking course with Longford Sports Partnership and received their certificates last week.
Basketball
Hard luck to both our 1st and 2nd year boys who travelled to Oranmore last week to face Calasanctius College Oranmore. Both teams lost out on the day but we commend them and their coaches Ms Duffy and Mr Guerin for their hard work throughout the year.
Equestrian
Well done to our Equestrian teams and their mentors Mr Mulvihill and Ms Cafferkey after their excellent performance at Mullingar Equestrian Centre on Sunday 3rd April. Our novice team placed 5th while our open team didn’t place but jumped brilliantly on the day.
GAA
Commiserations to our U16 boys team and their coaches Mr Nerney and Shane Kenny who suffered a 2 point defeat to Rathangan in the Leinster semi-final last week. A great group of lads with a bright future ahead on the field!
