Leinster Champions

Well done to our Senior GAA team and now Leinster Champions who were victorious in the Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior ‘C’ football championship final on Friday last. Earlier last week they defeated Coláiste Bhríde Carnew in the semi-final on a final score of 0-15 to 0-09 before taking on Dublin’s Gaelcholáiste Reachrann in the final. The match took place at St. Loman’s 3G Pitch, Mullingar, and ended on a final score of 3-08 to 1-07. Huge congratulations to the whole panel and to their dedicated coaches Mr Nerney and Shane Kenny. 

LEGO League Champions

Huge Congratulations to our TY Regional Champions ‘Team Garfield’ who were crowned overall winners at the TUS Athlone Regional Finals of the First Lego League on Thursday last. The team consisted of TY students Grace Kelly, Mirabel Joseph, Julia Rosolowska, Aoife Bannister, Nicole Phelan, Subi Deko, Orla Manning and Katie Doyle. The team will now represent the school in the National Finals in Dublin in March. Well done to all involved and thank you to Mr Seery for accompanying the girls on the day.

Interschools

Well done to Katie, Ella and Calum Duignan on placing first in the Open Team category of the Interschools Competition at Broadmeadow Equestrian Centre last week.  Special mention to Katie Duignan who placed 1st in the Open individual. A fantastic day of jumping for all involved. Thank you to Mr Mulvihill for organising.

Afterschool Study

Term 4 of Afterschool study will begin after Midterm on Monday 19th February and will run until Thursday 21st March. All registration details can be found on the school’s website.
