Lego workshop
Thank you to Dr. Clodagh Reid and her colleague Sheila from TUS, Athlone, who visited the school last week to host the first of a series of lego workshops. TYA designed and made robots and competed against each other. The winning team will represent the class and Mercy Ballymahon in TUS Midlands in May at an inter-schools competition. All other TY classes will have the opportunity to qualify later this month.
English Trip
This week all 6th year English classes are attending a new performance of Macbeth in the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone. The Cyclone Rep production “The Macbeth Session: Profit Before People” offers a modern twist on the drama to create a relevant and thought-provoking production. We hope that the students and their English teachers Ms Fitzmaurice, Ms Gaffney, Mr McGivney, Ms McGovern and Ms Quinn enjoy the performance. Thank you to Ms Fitzmaurice for organising.
