TY Work Experience
Last week our Transition Year students engaged in a week of work experience. A huge thank you to all employers and businesses who provided our students with the opportunity to work in various places of work. Without you, our students would not receive such invaluable experience.
November Remembrance
Throughout the month of November, all religion classes celebrated “In November, We Remember” to remember loved ones who have passed away. Third year students held a prayer service in the school oratory while Transition Year classes made trees of remembrance. Thank you to our religion department for organising.
GAA
Well done to our 3rd year boys who have participated in two GAA blitzes over the past couple of weeks. Thank you to Longford GAA for giving the students the opportunity to play against other schools in the area. Hard luck to our U14 boys who were defeated by Boyne Community School last week. Thank you to their coaches Mr Sammon and Mr Finneran.
Soccer
Hard luck to our U15 soccer team who narrowly lost out to Castlepollard Community College last week, the game ending 3-2. Thank you to coaches Ms Beirne and Mr McGivney.
Christmas Tests
Best of luck to our 1st, 2nd and 5th year students who are completing their Christmas exams this week. Exam timetables are available to view on our school website.
